Third Indian Woman Tennis Player Breaks Into Top 200 Single Rankings

On Monday Ankita Raina became the third tennis player from breaking the record in top 200 single rankings and for that she jumped 15 places to reach on this best career and got 197 ranks in this WTA chart.

Ankita 25 years old was trained with Hemant when she is in the country and she is the first player to achieve this tournament and Sania Mirza also set her remarkable achievements throughout the years. After Sania and Nirupama Ankita is the third player to achieve this great achievement and put herself in this 200 ranking. Sania touched a grand high ranking of 27 in 2007 and Nirupama touch a grand high ranking of 134 in 1997.

Ankita told to PTI when she was competing in ITF circuit “that she has done so much hard work and always remain patient throughout her journey to reach his point. She was always in between 200 and 250 ranking and it was very tough to break the barrier, but finally she had done.”

Though there were many ups and downs in my career, but my parents and coach always belief for me and supported me much my brother also equally supported and always given me the priority any time I want. I am greatly thankful to my coach because without their support nothing will be possible. She said in confidence, “I will play grand slams and immediate target is for 150 after that by the end of the year I will get into top 100 ranking.”

She is always passionate and dedicated to give her best. She always plays single-minded. Even when she is not best, but her attitude towards the fight and game shows her true determination and this makes her different from others.”
